New S3L-Gemetry for loudspeaker cables - a revolutionary breakthrough in balanced cable design

•DSLab implements the innovative ideas for the improvement and advancement of cable design. Examples of groundbreaking loudspeaker cable technologies include the patented FMS-Floating Magnetic Shield Cable®; and the S3L-Cable®; conductor arrangement (the patent is available as the pdf-document in login area).

•With the S3L Cable Series DSLab implements its latest innovation in cable design, a new S3L-CableÒ Geometry for audio cables. Making use of the principle of "doing more with a minimum transmission loss", the S3L-concept operates on the premise that magnetic interaction between each of the signal conductors can be minimized, in that each of the signal conductor in the pair, as well as the cable in a closed loop, have the same inductance. •The S3L Cable Series was developed under the conditions of excellent technical performance and mechanical robustness. These two opposing requirements, namely the use of the mica-powder for the insulator and mechanical stability of the cable, are unified in this technology to provide our customer a number of critical technical advantages and an attractive selling price. Firstly Mica has the unique combination of high dielectric strength, endurance, uniform dielectric constant, low dielectric loss (or High Q), high electric resistivity and superior insulating properties. Secondly the two key concepts, namely our patented FMS-Cable® and S3L-Cable® conductor arrangements, minimize distortion caused by unwanted magnetic interaction in the loudspeaker cable.
